This module of study contains and specifies the outcomes required to manage and produce project program schedules for the developments of major projects.

It covers the facilitation, implementation and management of the project scheduling system in a building and construction organisation involved in residential and/or commercial building projects.

This program is ideal for anyone wishing to learn the application of project programming, planning & scheduling for building construction jobs & projects using latest scheduling software.

The program covers the key stages and scope of works applicable to residential, industrial and commercial building projects.

CAS-BCM course program is a hands-on program using the latest software in learning project scheduling, planning & programming.

Program Aims

This unit of competency supports the needs of building professionals, Registered Building Practitioners, senior managers within building and construction firms and other construction industry personnel responsible in  preparing and managing project planning & scheduling for residential and commercial projects.

This course unit specifies the outcomes required to plan & schedule on-site activities, including the employment of physical and human resources and the development of documentation and advice for relevant authorities concerning residential and commercial projects.

Assessment Process

All assessments will be conducted through the on-line learner portal through CAS-BCM’s Learner Management System.

Assessment is provided on-line through learner portal (LMS)

How and when assessments will be conducted

  • Individual Unit Element Activities will form part of the Face-to-Face Sessions and collected electronically on-line through learner portal
  • Project Assignment will be collected after every Independent Study periods; collected electronically on-line through learner portal
  • Work-Based Project Assignments will be due on after the completion of Unit of Competency
  • Skills Session outcomes will be due on after the completion of Unit of Study

Assessment processes and techniques are, as far as is practical, take into account the language, literacy and numeracy capacity of the learner in relation to the competency being assessed.

Recognition of Prior Learning – RPL

Participants can opt to undertake the program through an RPL Program (Recognition of Prior Learning), it is a form of assessment that recognises skills and knowledge gained through formal training conducted by industry or education, work experience or life experience.

Award Outcome

All learner participants who attend the full program will be issued a

‘Certificate of Attendance & Completion’

  • Have Basic Language Proficiency in English
